SEGi Students Shine at INDES 2026

Three SEGi University students from the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology successfully represented the university at the 15th International Invention, Innovation and Design Competition 2026, held on 14 May 2026 at Universiti Teknologi MARA Seri Iskandar, Perak.

The students showcased their innovative projects among fellow young inventors and researchers, gaining valuable exposure to creative problem solving, research presentation and innovation driven learning.

Siti Farah Julia Mohd Hisham was awarded a Silver Medal, while Jai Hobika A/P Kumaran and Abisheg Daniel A/L David each received Bronze Medals for their respective projects. Their achievements reflect strong commitment, creativity and teamwork throughout the competition.

The faculty is proud of their accomplishments, which brought meaningful recognition to SEGi University and highlighted the importance of encouraging students to explore ideas beyond the classroom. This achievement also reinforces SEGi’s commitment to nurturing future ready graduates through innovation, applied learning and academic excellence.

This activity supports the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
