DMEH Biomedical Science Students Showcase Clinical Laboratory Learning Through Industrial Placement Presentations

Final year Biomedical Science students under the DMEH Biomedical Science programme recently presented their industry placement experiences during the BBMS Industrial Placement Presentation (Clinical Laboratory) session held on 4 May 2026.

The session highlighted how students translated classroom learning into practical application within real clinical laboratory environments. Through their presentations, students shared valuable insights from their internship placements, including exposure to laboratory techniques, biosafety procedures, quality assurance practices, data handling, teamwork and professional communication.

The presentations also reflected the importance of experiential learning in preparing future biomedical science graduates. By working in professional laboratory settings, students were able to strengthen both their technical competencies and workplace confidence, while gaining a clearer understanding of industry expectations.

For prospective students exploring health science pathways, the session offered a meaningful glimpse into the real world learning experiences available through the Biomedical Science programme. It demonstrated how academic knowledge, hands on training and professional exposure come together to prepare students for careers in clinical laboratories, biomedical research, healthcare and innovation driven sectors.

The department congratulates all final year students for their dedication, professionalism and commitment throughout their industrial placement journey.
