Turning Research Projects into Publishable Academic Articles

Dr Sudhashini Nair ACMA, CGMA, Research Methodology Lecturer from the Faculty of Business, Accountancy and Law at SEGi University, conducted an engaging workshop titled “Transforming Your Business Research Project into a Publishable Research Article” on 6 May 2026.

The session was designed to guide lecturers and researchers on how to develop research projects and dissertations into high quality journal articles suitable for publication. Throughout the workshop, participants were introduced to practical strategies for identifying publishable research contributions, structuring academic manuscripts, selecting suitable journals, and strengthening the overall quality of scholarly writing.

Dr Sudhashini also shared valuable insights into common challenges faced during the publication process, including manuscript formatting, responding to reviewer comments, addressing plagiarism concerns, and maintaining research originality. The session highlighted the importance of research dissemination in enhancing academic visibility, contributing to knowledge development, and strengthening institutional research impact.

Participants actively engaged in discussions and gained practical knowledge to improve their research writing and publication readiness. The workshop reflected the Faculty of Business, Accountancy and Law’s continued commitment to fostering a strong research culture and supporting academic excellence among its staff.

The session concluded with an interactive question and answer segment, where attendees exchanged ideas and discussed potential opportunities for future research collaboration.
