Where Knowledge Meets Practice: OSCE 2026

The Faculty of Pharmacy at SEGi University continues to strengthen experiential learning and
industry-relevant education through the successful implementation of OSCE 2026 (Objective
Structured Clinical Examination), an important milestone in preparing future pharmacists for
real-world healthcare practice.
Designed to simulate authentic pharmacy and clinical scenarios, the OSCE exposed students
to a series of challenging and practical stations that tested their professional competencies,
critical thinking, communication, and clinical decision-making skills. Throughout the
assessment, students demonstrated their abilities in prescription screening, medication review,
device counselling, and patient drug counselling – essential competencies required in modern
pharmacy practice.
The Acting Dean, Dr. Bama V.V. Menon stressed that the importance of OSCE cannot be
overlooked as it provided students with valuable hands-on experience in handling real-life
patient and medication-related situations within a safe and structured learning environment
with minimal supervision. Through these simulations, students were encouraged to apply
theoretical knowledge confidently while developing professionalism, empathy, accuracy, and
patient-centred care approaches.
At SEGi Faculty of Pharmacy, learning goes beyond traditional classroom teaching. The faculty
is committed to nurturing competent, confident, and future-ready healthcare professionals
through interactive assessments, practical exposure, and student-centred learning experiences.
Supported by dedicated lecturers and a highly approachable academic team, students are
continuously guided to develop both technical competencies and soft skills that are highly
valued in the healthcare industry.
The successful conduct of OSCE 2026 reflects SEGi University’s commitment to producing
graduates who are not only academically strong, but also clinically prepared to meet the
evolving demands of the pharmacy profession. Through immersive and practice-oriented
learning experiences, SEGi continues to empower future pharmacists with the confidence,
competence, and professionalism needed to excel in the healthcare sector.
