The Faculty of Pharmacy at SEGi University recently hosted Research Day 2025, a dedicated academic platform showcasing the final year research projects of Year 4, Semester 7 Bachelor of Pharmacy students. The event marked an important milestone in the students’ academic journey, highlighting the depth of inquiry, analytical rigour, and scientific thinking cultivated throughout the programme.
Research Day 2025 provided students with the opportunity to present diverse research topics spanning pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare. Prior to the open exhibition, appointed examiners had completed formal assessments of the posters, ensuring academic rigour and quality assurance.
The poster exhibition was subsequently opened to judges from other Health Sciences faculties for the evaluation of the Best Research Poster and Best Poster Presenter awards. This interdisciplinary engagement encouraged meaningful academic exchange beyond the Faculty of Pharmacy, reinforcing collaborative learning across disciplines.

Throughout the day, the exhibition area welcomed a steady flow of students and academic staff. Visitors engaged presenters with thoughtful questions and constructive feedback, creating a vibrant atmosphere of scholarly interaction. Pharmacy students demonstrated confidence, clarity, and professionalism in articulating their research objectives, methodologies, key findings, and conclusions.
Beyond assessment, Research Day 2025 served as an experiential learning milestone. The event strengthened students’ scientific communication skills and prepared them to present research outcomes to a wider academic and professional audience. The active involvement of academic staff further enriched the learning environment, reflecting SEGi’s commitment to research informed education.

The event concluded with recognition of outstanding achievements. Lieu Ying Hui received the Best Research Poster Award, while Dorothy Aow Shun Qi was honoured with the Best Poster Presenter Award for exceptional research quality and presentation skills.
