At SEGi, diversity is not just reflected in numbers. It is reflected in the way the university continues to recognise and celebrate the many cultures represented within its student community.
Following the celebration of Maldives Independence Day, which helped foster a closer relationship with the Maldivian community and its representatives, SEGi recently marked Mauritius Independence Day with a meaningful gathering on campus. The celebration created an opportunity to connect more closely with Mauritian students, understand their presence within the university, and make them feel more seen, welcomed, and at home.
This initiative is part of SEGi’s ongoing effort to reach out to students from different countries through meaningful national and cultural occasions. These celebrations are not only about recognising important days, but also about building stronger ties with the respective embassies and High Commissions over time.
Through efforts like these, SEGi hopes to welcome and involve more embassy and High Commission representatives in the future, while continuing to strengthen relationships that enrich the international student experience on campus.
As a university recognised for its diversity and strong international student community, SEGi remains committed to creating an environment where every student, no matter where they come from, feels valued and connected.
