“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” — Benjamin Franklin.
To learn about a culture, one must immerse themselves in the environment. A group of 34 high school students and 4 staff members from Ranodwittaya School, Thailand experienced such immersion during their recent visit to SEGi University. The visit aimed to provide students with insights into higher education, academic programmes, and campus life, while fostering cross-cultural understanding and international learning experiences.

During the visit, the students were introduced to SEGi University’s academic environment, facilities, and learning culture. The programme included briefings on university education pathways, interactions with academic staff, and a guided campus tour, allowing students to gain first-hand exposure to tertiary education and future study opportunities. The visit also encouraged students to explore global perspectives on education and personal development.

The engagement provided meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange between the visiting school and the university community, promoting mutual understanding and global awareness among students and staff. It also supported students in developing aspirations for higher education by broadening their perspectives on international learning environments.
This visit aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting inclusive and equitable access to learning opportunities and supporting students’ readiness for higher education. It also contributes to SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening international educational linkages and fostering collaboration between institutions across borders.
Overall, the visit was a valuable learning experience for the students and staff of Ranodwittaya School. It enhanced international engagement at SEGi University and reinforced the institution’s commitment to global education, cross-cultural exchange, and sustainable academic partnerships.
