INTRODUCTION
OF THE EVENT
The Intervarsity Undergraduate Public Speaking Competition (IUPSC) 2026 is a prestigious academic event organised by SEGi University in collaboration with its partner universities: INTI International College Subang, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, UCSI University, and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The competition is expected to gather approximately 100 attendees, including participants, judges, organisers, and audience members from various universities.
This intervarsity event aims to provide undergraduate students with a platform to showcase their public speaking abilities, critical thinking, and confidence, particularly in delivering impromptu speeches. Through this competition, students will engage in meaningful discussions and articulate their perspectives on important global issues.
The theme for the competition is Sustainable Development Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, encouraging participants to explore ideas and solutions related to reducing social, economic, and political inequalities. The event will be held at Auditorium A, SEGi University, providing an academic environment suitable for intellectual exchange and student engagement.
In addition to improving communication skills, the competition also offers networking opportunities among students from different universities and helps prepare participants for future leadership roles and professional careers.
