Conceived by student Alvin Philip Marie, this proposed eco-resort in Dungun operates on the core concept of “Synergy,” utilizing Tropical Modernism to create a deeply biophilic experience that seamlessly connects lush site landscapes with the South China Sea. What truly elevates this project as a showcase piece is the student’s profound technical understanding and meticulous execution. From comprehensive environmental analyses of monsoon winds and sun paths to the highly detailed, practical integration of sustainable, passive design features like stack ventilation and reflective roof insulation, the work demonstrates a striking, real-world readiness to harmonize complex architectural mechanics with stunning, sustainable design.
